This 100-pack of 10g x 65mm batten screws is designed to make your job easier. Manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel, these screws offer superior corrosion resistance, ideal for coastal areas and outdoor applications. The Type 17 slash point ensures a fast start and reduces the need for pre-drilling, saving you time and effort on site. With a #2 Square (SQ2) drive, you get excellent bit engagement, minimising cam-out and ensuring a secure, positive drive every time.
The bugle head with ribs allows the screw to self-embed neatly into the timber surface, leaving a flush, clean finish. The 10g gauge (approximately 4.8mm) provides ample holding power for a variety of batten and timber fixing applications. These screws are specifically designed for fixing timber to timber.
Pro Tip: When working with hardwoods, a pilot hole is still recommended to prevent splitting, even with the Type 17 point. Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw's core diameter for optimal results.
